Can flexible hose be used to repair supply line for in-ground pool? - pool supply stores

In our inground pool had a leaky supply line to the elbow. Unfortunately, replacing, among other parallel tubes of the elbow and PVC pipe, is impossible because of the rigidity. Is it in the code to use a hose instead? I live in San Diego for the set-aside is not a problem.
